Quard 400 sheets and plates are high-performance abrasion-resistant steels, crafted through controlled quenching and tempering to achieve a hardness level of around 370–430 HBW (Brinell Hardness). They boast excellent wear resistance and mechanical strength. The typical chemical makeup includes carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and boron, all working together to enhance toughness and strength while ensuring good weldability. On the mechanical side, Quard 400 delivers impressive yield and tensile strength, often exceeding 1050–1160 MPa yield and around 1250–1300 MPa tensile, along with decent elongation, making it perfect for harsh wear conditions.
